in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China, Wanmin Wu received her bachelor’s degree
from Jiujang University and PhD degree from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign, both in computer science. Wu is currently a software engineer
at Google, where she works as part of the YouTube VR (virtual reality) team. In
this interview, Wu describes her childhood, education, postdoctoral work at the
University of California, San Diego, and work at Ricoh and Google, as well as
her research on multimedia and tele-immersive systems.
