The
STEM Illinois Communiversity Think and Do Tank Webcast series is designed to
provide a space for members of the university and community to think about how
to create an ecosystem where everyone thrives.
In this webcast installment, Holding Up the Sky: Women’s Health and Wellness,
Drs. Brittany Cline and Camille Johnson, both first-year residents in OB/GYN at
the University of Chicago and graduates of the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign, School of Molecular & Cellular Biology, will discuss
their journeys from childhood to becoming physicians as well as their current
experience as women physicians during COVID-19, police murders and social
unrest.
Dr. Brittany Cline was born in Richton Park, IL. She received her undergraduate
degree from the School of Molecular
and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She attended Saint
Louis University School of Medicine. She is an Obstetrics & Gynecology
Specialist in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Camille Johnson was born in South Holland, IL. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Rush
Medical College of Rush University. She is an Obstetrics & Gynecology
Specialist in Chicago, IL. She would like to become an Academic Generalist and
work in Family Planning and Adolescent Medicine, especially with underserved
populations. Her favorite things include: Broadway in Chicago, live concerts,
Bull’s games, trying different restaurants, and exploring different
neighborhoods.
