2017 Research Live! Finalist: Elizabeth Maxwell - Chemotherapy Beads for Cats

Elizabeth has developed “chemotherapy beads“ for locally aggressive cancer in cats - which are applied directly to the tumors (Soft Tissue Sarcomas). She is a veterinarian and small animal surgical resident at the University of Illinois' Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
