SBIR/STTR Webinar: Matching & Supplementary Funds

On October 29, Illinois FAST Center SBIR Consultant, Roland Garton, led a workshop and discussion focused on what you need to know about SBIR/STTR Matching & Supplementary Funds. The session involved sharing information on supplementary funding for SBIR/STTR recipients in Illinois, including Phase 0–II options, commercialization support, TABA assistance, and I-Corps entrepreneurial training, enhancing federal award impact.

Jamie Gladfelter, the Emerging Technologies Manager at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) covered DCEO's SBIR/STTR Phase I Match Program, offering a 1:1 state match up to $50K for Illinois companies with federal Phase I awards, supporting commercialization and research continuity.
