A third-generation Deaf individual, Susan brings over 35 years of experience—29 at the University of Illinois—where she’s helped transform how students learn ASL and understand Deaf identity.

Creating engaging, accessible online courses that support student learning
Advocating for Deaf rights and raising awareness of Deaf culture
