This podcast is a part of my academic curriculum for 504 History and Urban Theory where I discuss the health and well-being of a city.
Cities are interesting, dynamic, and varied places, but can also be noisy, polluted, difficult to navigate, isolating, and crime-ridden. 54% of the world's population live in cities and this figure is estimated to increase substantially in the coming years. This podcast shall walk you through one such dynamic city Mumbai where our primary focus in on Dharavi – Asia’s largest slum. This podcast shall shed a light on the health conditions, facilities, and infrastructure and how Dharavi tackled covid 19 in the past year.
