Coaching AI Fluency: Tools and Strategies to Empower Educators and Learners

This session explores AI fluency as a foundational skill for faculty and students, emphasizing coaching strategies that translate AI concepts into ethical, practical applications. Through a future-focused lens, we share how our team supports personalized learning using an AI Fluency Persona self-assessment and interactive toolkit to meet faculty where they are. These tools enable differentiated coaching and resource alignment based on individual readiness, fostering deeper engagement and confidence. We’ve embedded these practices into course design templates, offering structured guidance for integrating AI tools into learning activities. Additionally, we’ve developed interactive modules, assessments, and tech-enhanced strategies that promote originality and responsible AI use. By connecting conceptual understanding with practical application, we support thoughtful integration of AI into teaching and learning across disciplines.
