Animator Gerald Guthrie: Combining the Old and the New

In this premiere episode of "Illinois Innovators," viewers meet Fine and Applied Arts Professor and digital animator Gerald Guthrie. Guthrie's art combines antique household items, futuristic robots, vintage films and soundscapes. The result literally drops the floor from under you and forces the viewer to look at everyday items in a new way.
