What is a GPT?

This is a short introduction to how tools like ChatGPT use artificial intelligence to generate text. It is part of the Canvas module "AI in This Course: a Module from the University Library." The module includes an annotated transcription of this video, suggests permitted and prohibited uses of AI for humanities and social science classes, and concludes with a comprehension quiz for students.
