By many measures, our campus's security culture is solid among our university's faculty and staff; however, online scammers and cybercriminals continue to pursue our students relentlessly. Technology Services and CITL have recently partnered to address the need for creating awareness and cybersecurity training directed at students utilizing CITL's eText@Illinois platform. Slated for launch in Fall 2023, "Cybersafety and You" (working title) will engage students via relatable scenarios and lead Illinois students to make prudent choices by simulating real-life decisions, deferred decisions, and their consequences. Each module will end with actionable items students can quickly implement to secure their devices and better protect themselves, their identity, and their future. "Cybersafety and You" is part of CITL's new literacies series. eText@Illinois is an accessible, interactive, multimedia-enriched content delivery platform created at and for the University of Illinois.
