Russia's War on Ukraine: A Conversation with Alumnus Journalist Terrell Jermaine Starr

Part of the IGI Series on Global Responsibilities, the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center welcomed alumnus and war correspondent Terrell Jermaine Starr for a Q&A session on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Starr earned a master’s degree in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REEES) and a master’s degree in journalism in 2009 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is an independent journalist who has been reporting from Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. He is the founder and host of the Black Diplomats podcast, where he covers geopolitical issues. Starr can be found on Twitter @terrelljstarr.
