The UIUC Center for Artificial Intelligence Driven Health Data Systems and Analytics was fortunate enough to have Ms. Irena Balzekas as one of our guest speakers at our April 8th Center meeting.

Irena Balzekas is an MD/PhD candidate in the Bioelectronics, Neurophysiology, and Engineering Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic. Her research, with thesis mentor Dr. Greg Worrell, combines behavioral assessments and invasive brain recordings in patients with epilepsy to explore electrophysiologic correlates of psychiatric symptoms.
