Amy Cash Ahmed has spent the past 12 years as a dedicated research laboratory manager at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology, where she plays a key role in advancing the study of honeybee behavior. Her expertise in managing complex lab procedures and fieldwork ensures that critical research continues seamlessly. Beyond her technical skills, Amy is deeply committed to mentoring students and postdoctoral researchers, helping them develop the skills needed to succeed. A proud alumna of the University of Illinois, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Amy’s connection to the university is both personal and professional.
