Career Conversation: Esther Lin and Sam James

Gamma Theta Upsilon welcomed alumni Samuel James (BS '19) and Esther Lin (BS '21) to discuss and answer questions about their careers in GIS. Sam works for Axim Geospatial as a Solutions Engineer providing services directed at the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of enterprise GIS. Esther works for SoCalGas as a GIS Analyst where she works with gas main lines to create and analyze maps through ArcGIS. They discussed what a career in GIS can look just a few months or years after graduation and offered tips for how to find and secure a job in the field.
