CITES Digital Media
Group has been working on an RFP to procure an enterprise-level digital media
upload, catalog, storage, and distribution system—in other words, a U of I
"YouTube-Style" experience. This builds upon many years of work done
by the Center for Multimedia Excellence steering group and stresses strong
commitment to user-generated media, curation, and searchability of content,
quality audio and video, and accessibility.
In this Webmaster Workshop,
Drew MacGregor and John Tubbs will explain ways the Web community can
participate with the new media platform, and provide a status update on the RFP
and implementation.
