Augmented Alma: The New Image of an Illinois Icon

As the end of the school year comes to a close, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign gathers together to bring back the iconic Alma Mater statue for their 2013 graduates after she could not return due to extensive repairs. All facets of the University of Illinois worked together to create a smartphone application that projects a 360-degree model of the 13-foot tall "Alma" and allows graduates to continue the important tradition of taking their picture with her in a unique way that they will never forget.
