Beth Hoag (Director for Assessment and Planning) describes how teaching in an active learning classroom has allowed her to help students learn in the moment--both together and independently--through an activity that involves rotating through stations. Students being able to move about the room in this way helped them to engage more deeply with the content and remember it better. Active learning classrooms contribute to a positive learning community.
