Description: There are many problems that will emerge in the field of energy due to increasing population and limited fossil fuels. As nations industrialize, energy and other resources will become increasingly scarse. How do we create a system that can answer these problems? What will the solution look like? By creating renewable energy sources to replace the green house gas emitting fossil fuels, and improving efficency we may be able to match the energy demands of the future, but the existing infrastructure for delivering energy will also require overhaul. Deepak Divan has developed smart wire technology with high redundancy and self healing capacity that will answer some problems with the electric grid. He explains how it works.
