Guest Speaker Bio: Dr. Mike Yuchuan Shen, Assistant Professor Teacher Education and Professional Development for Educators National Chung Hsing University. Dr. Shen’s research focuses on international education, social entrepreneurship, and Teach for Taiwan. Dr. Shen earned his PhD in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2022 and an MS in International Relations and Affairs from New York University in 2015. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Helsinki in Finland. Before joining National Chung Hsing University, Dr. Shen served as Outreach Coordinator at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies, International Advisor at the United Nations, and Director of Student and Academic Affairs at schools in Japan and Taiwan.
