Physics 582 Fall 2020 (QFT I) Zoom Lecture on Wednesday October 7, 2020 (recorded on Thursday October 8). In his lecture we covered path integrals in quantum mechanics in imaginary time and its role in quantum statistical mechanics. We begin the discussion of path integrals for real relativistic scalar field theory and presented its Feynman path integral. We discussed the relation between the path integral, the vacuum persistence function and the N point functions (including the propagator).
