From holiday “get
togethers” to work meetings, everyone is on Zoom all the time. It’s one of the
easiest ways to connect with people these days, but fatigue comes along with
that ease. We’ll highlight several settings and fundamentals to Zoom to improve
live events, presentations, recorded material, and more. We’ll demonstrate
additional software to infuse your Zoom-ing with professionalism. We’ll stretch
our creativity to work within technology and distancing confines to break the
molds!

PRESENTER: Bob Dignan has worked in media production on the Illinois campus for
over 10 years, focusing on instructional media. He collaborates with talented
producers, editors, visual designers, librarians, systems engineers, faculty
across campus, as well as other specialists at the Center
for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL). Some publicly available works
from the CITL team include: campus MOOCs, event livestreaming (e.g. President Barack Obama), Audio Description, and “Dear A/V.”
