Captain’s Log, Stardate 2025: The Education and Training Implementation Team of our campus Digital Accessibility and Excellence ADA Title II initiative invites you on a voyage through uncharted territory in accessibility. We’ll begin by scanning “where we’ve been,” mapping the development of quick reference resources on the Make Your Course Accessible website and the Quick Start Accessibility Workshop series, which has now welcomed over 1,100 crew members. Engagement metrics and demographic data will serve as our star charts, helping us understand who’s on board and where we’ve gained traction. Next, we’ll shift to warp speed and set a course for “where we’re going.” We’ll preview upcoming resources for STEM systems like accessible math, chemistry, and data visualization, as well as specialized tools such as EquatIO, Desmos, Pope Tech, and MathPix. Lastly, we’ll explore accessibility guides for third-party galaxies including textbook publisher resources, OER, and general web resources. Together, we’ll seek out new strategies and boldly go where accessibility has not gone before!
