Infrastructure Technology Resources Consortium (ITRC) Seminar Series on Resilience and Sustainability of Urban Transportation Infrastructure.
Seminar #13 Resilience and Transportation Planning—Addressing the Complexities: This seminar is an introduction to the latest research efforts sponsored by the National Cooperative Research Program (NCHRP)/Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine addressing the complex issues of resilience as they apply to transportation planning. This review is not meant to cover all of the efforts underway or previously completed under the NCHRP, nor does it represent all the broader efforts by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Rather, we will demonstrate how the latest research helps to focus on an analytical framework for evaluating resilience efforts usable by state DOTs and other transportation planning agencies and the necessary tools and techniques for applying that framework.
