Lessons Learned From Teaching Social Media Analytics

After teaching an undergraduate course to mostly communication focused majors (advertising, journalism, communication, etc.), I’ve learned many lessons as to what is seemingly most helpful for individuals that want to jump into text analytics that do not have a computational background. I will share some of my lessons that I have learned and share some thoughts on what I would like to see on our campus for social media analytics moving forward.
