Lee Ann shares how her tick surveillance tells us Illinois is being invaded by Gulf Coast Ticks. She is a third year PhD student in the Pathobiology Department and has a doctor of veterinary medicine and a master’s in public health. Her primary areas of interest are epidemiology of zoonotic diseases, specifically tick-borne diseases, and their relationship to public health. She is the coordinator of the Illinois Tick Inventory Collaboration Network.
