Azure Cloud - Transition from IIS Servers to Azure App Services

We will share our journey of how we transitioned .NET Core applications from traditional IIS servers (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) to modern Azure App services (Platform-as-a-Service). Our presentation will include the reasons "why" different stakeholders at IT Partners such as managers, software engineers, and system engineers decided to move in the direction of the Azure Cloud. In the last two years we have learned a lot about the different services that the Azure Cloud offers as well as the cost and time that it takes to start leveraging those services. Throughout our presentation we will explain some of the techniques that we have used to manage costs and time within our team. Lessons learned from this transition, including advantages, disadvantages, and campus resources will be discussed at the presentation.
