Collaborating, participating in a meeting remotely, or working with others from your own office doesn't have to painful. At the University of Illinois we have access to tools like Skype that remove the obstacles of having to meet in one location and make it possible to have a very functional meeting including audio, visual, and collaboration opportunities. As the manager of a dynamic team consisting of designers, programmers, and a system administrator, our teams' success is directly related to having the ability to talk, type, and share visual content on a frequent basis.
Be a good communicator—learn how to make these tools work for you. Bring the list of tools that have helped you be successful too.
