IFCA 2020 Dicamba Recordkeeping Recommendations and Compliance Clarifications

In 2019, the Illinois Department of Agriculture received a record number of pesticide misuse complaints,

including more than 700 that were dicamba related. Many of those complaints resulted in the issuance

of monetary penalties to the applicator, in the amount of $750 or $1,000. The misuse findings were split

fairly evenly between commercial applicators and private applicators.

IFCA provides the following recommendations to help you avoid the most common mistakes that

occurred in 2019, particularly with recordkeeping.
